how this all started

I am Jason Metcalf, I've been a big brother for about two and a half years now. I plan on putting my personal experiences, advice, and funny stories about my cute yet destructive baby sister to good use by helping those of you who are just now getting to know your smallest siblings or who are just waiting for them to join you in the world, I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it. It all started on February 28, 2008. I saw the cutest baby in the maternity ward, and at that moment I knew who my baby sister was. I thought to myself "I want to take that one home with me." Sadly once we were home I realized I wanted to leave her there. She was loud, kind of a cry baby, and mean. This little bundle of joy wasn't the joy I had hoped for. She always was crying about something. What had mom brought me into? I thought. it was at that moment I realized I hated kids. I didn't have much experience with kids, or being a brother for that matter. I hated my own brother, and never saw my sister, so how was I suppose to know how to watch this kid? I caught on fast, learning quickly not to give her things she could hurt me with, I thought of the goose egg on my head. After catching on it was a snap to take care of the baby. I loved it...for a week. Then she start to get worse, worse diapers, louder crying, more food. How was I suppose to keep up with that? She never slept through the night so I was always tired in the mornings. I was tired of watching her, but then there was one moment that made it worth while...her first word...Jason.
